Mihali Palassis

Mihali has more than 10 years’ experience as a commercial litigator and accepts briefs in all areas of commercial law. 
 
Mihali specialises in advising clients on resources projects, disputes arising under the Mining Act 1978 (WA) before the Warden and Warden’s Court, and corporations matters, including advising on directors’ duties, shareholder oppression, misleading or deceptive conduct, consumer law, and insolvency.
 
Prior to being called to the Bar, Mihali was a special counsel in Lavan and MinterEllison’s litigation teams, where he was recognised in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for 2026 and 2027.
 
Mihali holds a Master of Laws (First Class Honours) from the University of Melbourne, in which he completed specialised subjects on company takeovers, resources joint ventures, commercial arbitration, contract law, and equity. Mihali is the Vice President of the WA Branch of the Energy & Resources Law Association (formerly AMPLA).
